Michael: The Truth Is Only Discovered In Islam

Michael: The Truth Is Only Discovered In Islam
Michael: The Truth Is Only Discovered In Islam
Michael David Shapiro is a Russian Jew. In the past, he was not so sure of God. Her dream became a rock star, but now she works as a secretary and lives in an apartment.
His quest for identity began when he was 19 years old. One night, intending to go to the kitchen and meet with a black colleague. He asked his colleague, "May I keep vodka in the fridge tonight?". Unexpectedly, that meeting changed Michael's life drastically.
The black friend he met in the kitchen was a Muslim and he was the first Muslim he ever met. With a high curiosity, Michael invites the black man to talk about Islam. Of all the things Michael once heard such as the five-time prayer, jihad and the figure of the Prophet Muhammad.
Later, their friend Wade, a Christian, joined the conversation. Be the three of them that night dialogue with Jews, Christians and Muslims. "It turned out that we found many differences and many similarities between the three religions," said Michael.
After the conversation, Michael's interest that has been only focused on sex, drugs and parties so changed completely. He began to seek the truth, to seek God, to find out how to be his follower.
At that time, Michael said, he started by asking himself simple questions like 'what is the actual number of God?'. Michael thought that God's number must be one. God will be stronger if only one. Because if God is two, if there is one of them that is different opinion then there will be contradictions and disputes. "So I think God is one," Michael said.
He also thought about the existence of God and analyzed the beliefs of atheist and other theist-theist beliefs. I am reminded of the wise words "Every design must have its designer". Starting from that wise word, my eyes are open that God exists. "I can not explain why, I can only feel it," says Michael.
The new things he found, made Michael think that he should be responsible to obey the Creator and that means he must embrace a religion. Another question followed, 'where will he start? Because literally the number of religions can be thousands and he needs to minimize that amount. The first step that Michael did was to group the monotheistic religions and it was in line with his belief that God is one. He struck Buddhism and Hinduism from his list and encircled three monotheist religions: Islam, Christianity and Judaism.
Because he is a Jew. Michael began studying Judaism first, from the concept of God, the prophets, 10 God's prohibitions, the Torah and about the 'Jewish spirit', one thing that attracted attention and made Michael doubt. He thinks, the idea of a 'Jewish spirit' is not universal because 'if a person is born a Jew, then that person has a Jewish soul and must become a follower of Judaism. For Michael, such an idea is discriminatory. He argues that all human beings are created equal. "Why should a person who is born in a particular religion should still embrace that religion even if someone finds that his belief is wrong?" Was the question that came to mind in Michael's mind and he was not in line with the concept.
Another thing that makes Michael hesitate with Judaism, there is no clear concept of hell in Judaism. If the concept does not exist, why should one do good or sin? "If I am not afraid of severe punishment, so why should I be moral," thought Michael.
Michael eventually left Judaism and went to study Christianity. This religion also made Michael retreat because of the concept of Christian trinity in the father, son and holy spirit. He argues, how can Christians believe in one God only, if they adhere to the concept of trinity.
Michael also considers Christ's history in a strange and absurd Christianity. In Christian doctrine, Jesus is the son of God who must be killed to save man from the "original sin" committed by Prophet Adam. In Christianity, Jesus died to atone for the sins of mankind.
The doctrine made Michael think that in Christianity the whole human race was born a sinner, doing the wrong thing. That means, a newborn baby has sinned by doing the wrong things. "A strange doctrine. Because of the sin of one man, all men must suffer. What moral message does such a doctrine convey? Thought like this does not enter my logic, "said Michael.
Michael then studied Islam. He found that Islam means being obedient and submissive. The principle in Islam is the One God, praying five times as a form of obedience to God, performing zakat, fasting in Ramadan and going on Hajj if able to financially. The concept that made Michael is not too difficult to understand.
What Michael learned about Islam is nothing contrary to his logic, including the holy book of the Koran with amazing wonders and timeless teachings. Michael discovered the scientific facts that have been described in the holy book of the Koran since 1400 years ago.
Of the many things that Michael learned about Islam through books and research. One thing that most interest him is the word "Islam" which is the name of Islam is called several times in the Koran.
"From the studies I've done before, I can not find a single word of 'Judaism' found in the Old Testament or the word 'Christianity' in the New Testament. I wonder why I did not find those two words in the two books! "Michael said.
He then thought more deeply to find the answer. The word Judaism can be split into "Juda-ism". Likewise, Christianity can be decapitated into "Chris-ianity". Who is Juda? Juda was one of the leaders of the Jewish tribe. So the name of Judaism is taken from the name of the people. The same thing for Christianity is taken from the name Christ for Jesus.
Michael finally came to the conclusion that Christianity and Judaism were not mentioned in the scriptures because they came from people and not from God. While Islam is the name of religion that comes from God.
"Therefore Christianity and Judaism are not credible. At least from my perspective, the two teachings are impure, illogical and incomplete, "Michael said.
He continued, "Islam is the only religious name mentioned in the Qur'an. It's got a big meaning for me. "
"I realize that I must follow the teachings of Islam. Then I chose to become a Muslim. I have found the truth. I was out of the darkness and found light ... the light of Islam, "said Michael.
